Club El Antro

The Only Game on La 70

Club El Antro nightclub in Laureles, Medellín - interior view

La 70 is Medellín's local party street. The one where actual Colombians go to drink, dance, and pretend they don't have work tomorrow. It's bars, clubs, reggaeton, tiendas with plastic chairs spilling onto sidewalks, and an energy that Parque Lleras wishes it still had. It's also notably, conspicuously, almost impressively devoid of strip clubs.

Except one.

Club El Antro sits right there in the middle of the action, the lone purveyor of stage performances in a sea of salsa bars and craft beer joints. It's like finding a steakhouse in a vegan co-op. It shouldn't work. And yet.

Yes, there's a cover charge. In a neighborhood where every other spot is fighting for your attention with free entry and two-for-one aguardiente, El Antro charges admission. Because when you're the only show in town, you can do that. Monopoly economics, baby. Adam Smith is spinning in his grave and also probably buying a ticket.

Inside, it's what you'd expect from a strip club that doesn't need to try too hard. The competition isn't across the street—it's across the city. The girls are local, the music is loud, and the vibe is "we know you walked past twelve other options to get here, so welcome."

The drinks are priced like they know you're not leaving to comparison shop. The crowd is a mix of curious tourists who stumbled in and locals who wanted something different from the usual La 70 rotation. Everyone's slightly surprised to be here. It's a shared experience.

Location-wise, you're in Laureles—which means you're in a real neighborhood, not a gringo bubble. The streets are safer than Centro, mellower than Poblado, and you can actually walk home without needing a security detail. The Estadio metro is right there. You could theoretically take public transit to a strip club. Is that efficient or sad? Yes.

El Antro isn't trying to be the best strip club in Medellín. It's trying to be the only strip club on La 70. And at that, it's undefeated. When you control the supply and the demand walks past your door every weekend, you've already won.

The cover's worth it for the novelty alone. Where else can you go from craft cocktails to lap dances in the same block? Only on La 70. Only at El Antro.
