The name translates to "My Sweet Jesus." The décor translates to "someone raided a carnival and a sex shop simultaneously."
Dulce Jesus Mio is Medellín's most gloriously unhinged nightclub. Neon everywhere. Plastic toys hanging from every surface. Underwear on the ceiling. A bearded lady and a little person greeting you at the door. And every single night at midnight, they count down to the new year like it's December 31st.
The bathrooms are famous. Superhero statues surround the toilets. Cat Woman dispenses water from places Cat Woman shouldn't dispense water. You'll take photos. Everyone takes photos.
Music is non-stop paisa party: salsa, reggaeton, bachata, cumbia. Staff runs jokes and skits throughout the night—all in Spanish, so bring a local or embrace confusion.
Cover is around 15k COP. Bottles are the move if you're getting a table. Gets going after 11 PM. Don't show up as a group of dudes—they enforce ratios.
Three locations exist. Las Palmas is tourist-friendly. Sabaneta is where locals go. Both are ridiculous.
Come with an open mind and a large group. Leave with stories you'll tell for years.
